This is one of our newest Acoustic Surveillance Transmitters. The V4TX is populated by 0402 and 0201 SMD components and uses the popular DL1/3N CR1/3N 3V Lithium Battery. You can expect approximately 22 hours of continuous & uninterrupted audio surveillance from this mighty small transmitter pushing almost 18mw of RF. Each transmitter is soldered under a microscope and quality tested prior to packaging.

This is a permanent, always-on "hot-microphone", once the battery is inserted the V4TX will begin live transmission of ambient and surrounding audio without interruption on the Ultra High-Frequency band. The V4TX will broadcast audio over a distance of 400-500 metres in a cluttered urban environment, up to 1 kilometre with LOS, broadcasting audio through concrete, drywall, and thick bush to any UHF receiver, this transmitter operates on 1x 1/3N 3V Battery.
Use this transmitter to remotely listen to an area of interest that requires discrete acoustic monitoring. We recommend any handheld UHF receiver capable of tuning into the 400MHz-434MHz range, this is a standard range in most UHF receivers. Our recommended handheld receiver is the Baofeng UV-5R. Your transmitter will arrive with its specific Tx/Rx frequency noted on its back.

In order to maintain their longevity, transmitters are potted with a compound that seals all onboard components, only the microphone and the battery terminal are accessible and made visible.
